60's cherilyn week - saturday

CHER - A YOUNG GIRL (1966)
i'm sure for many of you, the thought of a cher week isn't very appealing - but i am asking you to trust me and give her a go. forget plastic cher with her vocoder voice- go back in time to bad teeth, big nose and poker straight long hair. some of her 60's output is amazing and very eclectic- ranging from hippy ideals, anti war anthems, samba sounds, brit cover versions and the wall of sound influence, not forgetting some gems written by sonny.

you may be more familiar with the original version of this song by edith piaf!
